Now is the time to plan
It's always a good time to plan for your next harvest. A little thought now will lead to bigger, better and more delicious crops all year. It’s really easy and we’re here to help with advice, year round planners, pest and disease guides plus our amazing easy to grow plug plants.
Some people take great pleasure in working out where they are going to plant things, organising four year crop rotations and managing successional sowings, taking pleasure from the challenge. For those amongst you we have a great range of seeds, plug plants and bare roots at fantastic prices to choose from (click here to see our full range).
If you are new to growing or want a little help we recommend you:
Review our Veg. Planner and our Fruit Planner. They give a good indication what is available, when to plant and when you will get a harvest. You can even download and print them out to remind you what to do throughout the year.
If you don’t want to do too much planning try one of our All Year Round Kits. They include a wide variety of different vegetables which we despatch throughout the year at just the right moment for you to plant them. Complete with growing instructions they virtually guarantee success.
If you have a small plot or want to grow in pots on the patio try one of our collections. These include specially selected plants to ensure you are successful.
Order plug plants. These are small plants grown in our specialist nursery where we have done all the tricky, fiddly work of germination. Order now to ensure availability and we will send them at just the right time for you to plant them out.
Try growing: Lettuce, Courgettes, Potatoes, Runner Beans, Beetroot or Radishes.
If you are feeling more confident also try Tomatoes, Peppers, Peas and Cucumbers.

Next season seems so close now, so it is definitely the time to order because seed stocks are frequently limited so ordering early ensures you get just what you want. Also, by ordering plug plants now it helps us plan our production and keeps our prices as low as possible.

Did you know that the average household spends around £300 -£500 per year on fruit and veg? You can easily half that cost by growing your own. And amazingly you don’t need an allotment or huge garden to be successful. A small area or even tubs can be enough for a delicious harvest of potatoes, lettuce, tomatoes etc. etc.
It tastes better!
It is a fact that fruit and vegetables freshly picked and eaten taste better than those you buy from the supermarket. Sweetcorn for example starts turning its sugars into starch the minute you pick it. Within an hour it is significantly less tasty. The only way to get truly delicious vegetables is to grow them yourself.
Be healthy!
Being active outdoors is good for you, so what better way to get some exercise and fresh air than growing your own fruit and Veg.
