Polyanthus

Polyanthus are extremely tough and hardy with a long flowering season. They start in flowering in mid winter with some varieties of Polyanthus still blooming well into the summer. The compact jewel like blooms are available in a huge range of vibrant and pastel shades, creating a heartening splash of colour during winter, a cheery sign that spring is just around the corner. Very versatile, they look impressive mass planted in garden borders, all sorts of containers including window flower boxes, pond margins and also naturalised in rough lawns.
