Description

Brighten up your outdoor space with the Euphorbia Collection, a stunning duo that delivers colour and interest in every season. Featuring 'Ascot Rainbow' and 'Silver Edge', this set brings together two of the most striking Euphorbias, offering a perfect balance of elegance and resilience.

‘Ascot Rainbow’ is a spectacular variety with narrow, grey-green foliage, edged in golden yellow. As the seasons shift, these leaves take on pink and red hues, ensuring a dynamic, ever-changing display. In spring, clusters of soft lime-green flowers emerge, adding a delightful burst of freshness to garden beds and patio containers.

In contrast, ‘Silver Edge’ is a masterclass in understated beauty. Its bluish-green leaves, delicately trimmed with silvery-white, shimmer in the light and create an elegant focal point in any setting. Come spring, bright lime-green bracts provide an eye-catching contrast, ensuring the plant remains a star performer.

Both Euphorbias are incredibly tough and easy to grow, requiring very little attention once established. They flourish in well-drained soil, withstand dry spells with ease, and thrive in both full sun and partial shade. Plus, their compact size makes them perfect for containers, rockeries, and border planting.

One of the standout benefits of these Euphorbias is their wildlife-friendly nature. They attract bees and pollinators, helping to support biodiversity in your garden. At the same time, their natural resistance to deer and rabbits ensures they stay looking their best.

Supplied as a set of two established plants in 9cm pots, ready to plant.

Top Tips
  • Once established, Euphorbia are drought-resistant and require minimal watering. Water only during prolonged dry spells, and avoid overwatering.
  • Care Information

    How To Plant:

    • Loosen the soil in your chosen area and mix in organic matter such as compost or well-rotted manure for added nutrients.
    • Make a hole twice the width of the plant's root ball and just as deep.
    • Carefully remove the Euphorbia ‘Ascot Rainbow’ from its pot. Place it in the hole with the top of the root ball level with the soil surface.
    • Space plants approximately 45-60cm apart to allow for their mature size and airflow.
    • Fill the hole with soil, firming it gently around the base of the plant to remove air pockets. Avoid covering the crown of the plant.
    • After planting, water thoroughly to help the plant settle in and establish roots.

    Caring:

    • In spring, apply a balanced, slow-release fertiliser to support healthy growth and vibrant foliage.
    • After flowering, cut back any spent flower stems to maintain the plant’s shape. Always wear gloves when pruning as the sap can irritate the skin.
    • This plant is fully hardy but benefits from mulch around the base in late autumn to protect the roots in very harsh winters.

Euphorbia sap is toxic if ingested and can cause irritation to the skin and eyes. Always wear gloves and wash your hands thoroughly after handling.
