Description

Harvest Delicious, Full-Sized Citrus Fruits At Home! Juicy, refreshing and naturally rich in vitamins and minerals, they are perfect for eating fresh, adding to drinks or using in your favourite recipes.

This established pair of citrus trees can grow and fruit successfully in the UK when given the right seasonal care. Both arrive as mature potted plants, ready to settle into a sunny patio or bright conservatory.

The orange tree produces fragrant white flowers from spring into early summer, followed by seedless fruits that begin ripening from late autumn once the plant is established.

The lemon tree can flower from late spring and throughout the growing season, with its fruits ripening from late summer towards the end of the year in warm, bright conditions.

Place both trees outdoors in a sunny, sheltered position during warmer weather, then move them to a cool, bright and frost-free location for winter. Water generously through summer, reduce watering during winter and feed regularly while they are actively growing.

The included Citrus Summer Feed provides targeted nutrition for hungry container-grown citrus, helping support healthy foliage, strong growth and improved fruiting potential.

Supplied as one established orange tree in a 4 litre pot, approximately 60-90cm tall, one established lemon tree in a 4 litre pot, approximately 70-90cm tall, plus one 200g tub of Citrus Summer Feed.

How to use Vitax Citrus Summer Feed:

Mix 5g (1 teaspoon) of Vitax Citrus Summer Feed in 2.5 litres (4 pints) water and apply weekly from April to September.
Ensure the compost does not dry out between feeds, keeping sil moist, but not waterlogged.

Care Information

The sweetly fragrant blossom appears in the late spring and can sometimes continue to flower sporadically over the rest of the year. Especially in late winter, and fruit ripens up to 12 months later - so plants are often in flower and fruiting at the same time.
Citrus tend not to thrive in centrally heated homes, so from mid-Jun to late September, give plants a treat and transfer them outside to make the most of the available sunshine - but remember they are not frost tolerant so will need bringing under cover if cold nights threaten.
Only minimal pruning is required to reshape or remove dead or damaged shoots.

Watering:

In summer, water freely - ideally using rainwater, while in winter you can reduce the amount - allowing the surface to partially dry out before watering again. Always allow excess water to drain away.
Our beautiful Mediterranean citrus trees are grown in a slightly heavier growing medium, so be sure to take care when watering. Be sure not to overwater, as with all your plants, but also make sure not to allow the soil to dry out.

Delivery Information

Our experienced team at the nursery will always carefully package and send your plants nursery fresh in the perfect condition to thrive once you receive and plant them. Although most plants are extremely tough and will not be affected by all but the most extreme of weather conditions, we always avoid dispatching the most perishable plants if extreme frosts or heat is forecast. We also avoid dispatching orders over Bank Holiday weekends.

Please allow us 3-5 working days to dispatch your order. If you have ordered a 'pre-order' item, these will be sent out as soon as possible after the quoted dispatch date and we generally ship your entire order with any pre-ordered items. Once your order has been dispatched, we will send you an email with details on how you can track it.

We send most of our orders via a fully tracked courier service with Yodel. We will send you a tracking link as soon as your order has been dispatched. To avoid perishable items being stuck at depots and deteriorating, we will not require a signature on delivery, and we ask out couriers to leave your item in a safe place ad your delivery address.

If you have delivery instruction and require our courier to leave your item in a specific place, please let us know - there is an option to leave a message for the courier at the checkout.

For smaller and single-item orders, we may send these via the post with Royal Mail - Tracking will not be available for orders sent via this method.
