This impressive variety is prized for its dual-cropping habit, producing one crop in summer on the previous year's canes, then following up with a second harvest later in the season on new growth.

Top Tips

Prune back to ground level in autumn, removing the early-cropping canes from the previous year. Leave six to eight strong canes for next year's crop.

Care Information

Planting Advice for Raspberries:

Plant raspberries roughly 50cm apart in rows, along walls or fences or in beds where further support from posts can be used.
They can also be grown in large pots, around 40cm or larger in diameter, on your patio, balcony, or terrace.
Select an appropriate spot for your plants, making sure that you give them enough space to grow to their full size.
For best results, plant in a sunny but sheltered position.
Dig a hole with enough room for the roots to spread. If you�re planting multiple, it�s easiest to dig a trench.
Whether you�re planting bare-root or potted plants, keep the crown of the plant 1 or 2 inches above the ground - raspberries hate to be buried too deeply.
Fork over the bottom to loosen the soil and add some good quality fertiliser such as Fish, Blood and Bone.
Holding the plant upright in position with one hand, slowly backfill the hole with soil, and gently shake the plant, so the soil falls back around the roots.
Firm in and water well.

Aftercare Advice for your raspberries:

A thick mulch will conserve moisture and suffocate weeds. Keep a thick layer of mulch around the plants at all times.
Water daily from spring until after harvest. Regular watering is better than infrequent deep soaking.
Remove any suckers (canes that grow well away from the rows) to prevent them taking valuable nutrients away from the main plant.

Although most plants are extremely tough and will not be affected by all but the most extreme of weather conditions, we always avoid dispatching the most perishable plants if extreme frosts or heat is forecast. We also avoid dispatching orders over Bank Holiday weekends.

Please allow us 3-5 working days to dispatch your order. If you have ordered a 'pre-order' item, these will be sent out as soon as possible after the quoted dispatch date and we generally ship your entire order with any pre-ordered items. Once your order has been dispatched, we will send you an email with details on how you can track it.

We send most of our orders via a fully tracked courier service with Yodel. We will send you a tracking link as soon as your order has been dispatched. To avoid perishable items being stuck at depots and deteriorating, we will not require a signature on delivery, and we ask out couriers to leave your item in a safe place ad your delivery address.
