Bring quiet luxury to your winter garden with this flowering Camellia 'Nuccio's Pearl' shrub.

Blooming from February into March, with perfectly formed formal double, each around 8cm across. White petals are delicately flushed pink, with deeper, darker colour towards the edges.

A holder of the RHS Award of Garden Merit, thanks to its reliability, hardiness and consistent performance in UK gardens. Plus, the foliage is fully evergreen, so this shrub provides structure throughout the year.

Compact and upright, 'Nuccio's Pearl' fits comfortably into shrub borders and performs exceptionally well in large containers, making it ideal for patios and entranceways. It is fully hardy and well suited to shaded or partially shaded areas.

Supplied as an established plant in a 5 litre pot, ready to plant.

Top Tips

Be sure to deadhead Camellias when the flowers appear to start fading. This will not boost flowering the following growing season, but will avoid an unsightly browning flower from ruining your display.

Care Information

For best results, plant in moist and well-drained, neutral, or acidic soil in a space that is partially shaded, with some shelter from chilling winds.
Plant in autumn when the soil is still warm. This will help roots to establish before the harsh winter conditions set in.
When planting multiple Camellia, space at least 3-5m apart to allow ample room to establish.
Prior to planting, prepare the ground by clearing away any weeds, where necessary, and digging over the area to prime for planting.

Watering:

Camellias should be watered regularly when newly planted, particularly for the first 18 months or so.
Keep the soil moist, checking if the soil is dry at a depth of roughly 10cm. If this soil is dry, then water the plant well.

Our experienced team at the nursery will always carefully package and send your plants nursery fresh in the perfect condition to thrive once you receive and plant them. Although most plants are extremely tough and will not be affected by all but the most extreme of weather conditions, we always avoid dispatching the most perishable plants if extreme frosts or heat is forecast. We also avoid dispatching orders over Bank Holiday weekends.

Please allow us 3-5 working days to dispatch your order. If you have ordered a 'pre-order' item, these will be sent out as soon as possible after the quoted dispatch date and we generally ship your entire order with any pre-ordered items. Once your order has been dispatched, we will send you an email with details on how you can track it.

We send most of our orders via a fully tracked courier service with Yodel. We will send you a tracking link as soon as your order has been dispatched. To avoid perishable items being stuck at depots and deteriorating, we will not require a signature on delivery, and we ask out couriers to leave your item in a safe place ad your delivery address.

If you have delivery instruction and require our courier to leave your item in a specific place, please let us know - there is an option to leave a message for the courier at the checkout.

For smaller and single-item orders, we may send these via the post with Royal Mail - Tracking will not be available for orders sent via this method.
