'Little Cerise' boasts deep pink flower plumes that rise vividly above the foliage, bringing confident colour to a shrub that remains remarkably neat.

This is part of the very floriferous 'Butterfly Candy' series, bred with smaller garden spaces in mind. A well-branched framework supports flowers around the naturally rounded plant, creating a full display with no need to surrender a large stretch of border.

Growing to just 80cm high and wide, 'Little Cerise' works beautifully in patio containers, compact beds and narrow sunny borders. Position it near outdoor seating to appreciate the flowers' sweet fragrance and watch butterflies and bees visiting the plumes at close range.

By attracting these welcome visitors, the blooms help support biodiversity and bring a lively sense of movement to the garden. Hardiness down to -18C also gives this compact shrub the resilience to cope with UK winters in a suitable position.

Plant in full sun in fertile, well-drained soil. Container-grown plants need unobstructed drainage and regular checks for water during dry spells.

Supplied as an established plant in a 9cm pot, ready to plant.

Top Tips

Buddleia plants are low maintenance, but they do benefit from pruning in early spring to maintain a nice compact plant.

Care Information

Plant Buddleia in garden borders in any moist, well drained garden soil, in full sun or semi-shade.
Ideal for planting in patio containers using soil-based compost.
Prune Buddleia in March, once the hardest frosts are over, as the new growth begins to show.
Firstly, remove any dead, diseased, damaged, or weak stems, before pruning all off the remaining stems back to form a low framework.
Drought tolerant once established.

Delivery Information

Our experienced team at the nursery will always carefully package and send your plants nursery fresh in the perfect condition to thrive once you receive and plant them. Although most plants are extremely tough and will not be affected by all but the most extreme of weather conditions, we always avoid dispatching the most perishable plants if extreme frosts or heat is forecast. We also avoid dispatching orders over Bank Holiday weekends.

Please allow us 3-5 working days to dispatch your order. If you have ordered a 'pre-order' item, these will be sent out as soon as possible after the quoted dispatch date and we generally ship your entire order with any pre-ordered items. Once your order has been dispatched, we will send you an email with details on how you can track it.

We send most of our orders via a fully tracked courier service with Yodel. We will send you a tracking link as soon as your order has been dispatched. To avoid perishable items being stuck at depots and deteriorating, we will not require a signature on delivery, and we ask out couriers to leave your item in a safe place ad your delivery address.

If you have delivery instruction and require our courier to leave your item in a specific place, please let us know - there is an option to leave a message for the courier at the checkout.

For smaller and single-item orders, we may send these via the post with Royal Mail - Tracking will not be available for orders sent via this method.
