Rose 'Diamond Wedding 60th Anniversary' produces pure white flowers in repeat flushes from early summer into autumn. The bright, graceful colouring stands out beautifully against glossy dark green leaves, giving the plant a clean, refined appearance that suits both traditional and contemporary gardens.
Its healthy, upright growth creates a well-balanced display in a sunny bed or border, while a generous patio container allows the rose to remain close to the house where its significance can be appreciated every day. Plus, this variety boasts strong disease resistance and an easy-care nature.
Water regularly while the rose establishes, feed during the growing season and remove faded blooms to help maintain a tidy, repeat-flowering display. With straightforward care, it can continue bringing fresh white flowers across several months.
Presented to parents, grandparents, relatives or close friends, this is a thoughtful way to commemorate six remarkable decades of marriage. Unlike a cut bouquet, it can return with new growth and flowers year after year, becoming part of the garden and the memories connected with that exceptional milestone.
Supplied as a bare root rose, ready to plant.
To prune, just remove any dead, dying, damaged and diseased stems and also deadhead regularly.
Traditionally, you would cut just above a leaf joint with a sloping cut away from the bud, however, this isn't necessary, and don’t worry about pruning too much - roses are very resilient and will grow back.
When pruning, make sure that your secateurs are clean and sharp to prevent squashing stems and introducing disease.
Add mycorrhizal fungi to the roots when planting to help the plant establish quicker.
