Similar in many ways to traditional Jasmine, which has always been associated with summer, Trachelospermum will astonish with its mass of stunning white, pink and yellow flowers filling the air with their unmistakable, intoxicatingly rich, sweet scent between June and September. Such an incredible plant and this is why the collection really can't be missed!

A slow growing evergreen climber that can reach 6m (20ft) in a greenhouse or conservatory but planted in the garden it is much less vigorous, growing to half that size at only 20cm (8in) a year, twining around its support. It will produce waves of gorgeous pure white, star shaped flowers with petals swept anticlockwise throughout summer, each one with the most incredible fragrance. Occasionally you�ll be treated to extraordinary looking seed pods, which can be best described as looking like a pair of French beans joined together at the top.

As a hardy evergreen, they bost a lush, glossy dark green leaves during spring and summer which changes to rich purple for the winter, providing year-round interest. Hardy down to -5�C, it grows best in a sheltered spot away from cold winds and will thrive growing on a sunny wall or over arches, pergolas and along fences. In area prone to hard frosts is will need a little winter protection.

Supplied as established plants in 9cm pots, ready to plant and growing to a height and spread of 6 m (20 ft).

Care Information

Plant in fertile, well-drained soil in sun or semi-shade.
Choose a sheltered position that is protected from cold winter winds.
A south or west-facing wall is ideal. If growing in pots, use a good quality, soil-based compost, and place some bricks in the bottom to provide ballast. In particularly cold areas,
Trachelospermum is best grown in containers that can be moved to a protected position over winter.
Provide the twining stems with an appropriate frame support such as trellis, an obelisk or wires.
During the growing season, water regularly and apply a balanced feed monthly.
Water pot grown plants sparingly in winter.
After flowering, prune back the stems to restrict them to the available space, simply thinning out congested, weak or badly placed shoots.
Any stray branches can be tied back to their supports to improve the shape of the plant.

Delivery Information

Our experienced team at the nursery will always carefully package and send your plants nursery fresh in the perfect condition to thrive once you receive and plant them. Although most plants are extremely tough and will not be affected by all but the most extreme of weather conditions, we always avoid dispatching the most perishable plants if extreme frosts or heat is forecast. We also avoid dispatching orders over Bank Holiday weekends.

Please allow us 3-5 working days to dispatch your order. If you have ordered a 'pre-order' item, these will be sent out as soon as possible after the quoted dispatch date and we generally ship your entire order with any pre-ordered items. Once your order has been dispatched, we will send you an email with details on how you can track it.

We send most of our orders via a fully tracked courier service with Yodel. We will send you a tracking link as soon as your order has been dispatched. To avoid perishable items being stuck at depots and deteriorating, we will not require a signature on delivery, and we ask out couriers to leave your item in a safe place ad your delivery address.

If you have delivery instruction and require our courier to leave your item in a specific place, please let us know - there is an option to leave a message for the courier at the checkout.

For smaller and single-item orders, we may send these via the post with Royal Mail - Tracking will not be available for orders sent via this method.
