Add an exotic splash of vibrant colour to your garden with Agapanthus �Poppin� Purple� - a real summer showstopper. Unlike traditional varieties that flower for just a few short weeks, this brilliant rebloomer keeps the display going for months, flowering from June right through to September.

The rich violet blooms erupt from near-black buds, rising on strong upright stems above elegant, arching clumps of strap-like foliage. Whether planted in borders or grown in pots on the patio, this African Lily adds structure, height, and drama with very little effort.

Compact and reliable, it's ideal for cutting too - perfect for bold summer arrangements. Drought-tolerant, just give it a sunny spot and well-drained soil.

Top Tips

You will often get more flowers when the roots are restricted, so this is certainly a plant that does better in a pot, which also makes it easier to protect during the winter.

Care Information

Water your potted plant well.
Dig a hole a little deeper and 3 x wider than the nursery pot.
Add a soil conditioner such as well-rotted manure to the earth removed from the hole if necessary.
Remove the plant from its pot and tease out a few of the roots.
Place your plant in the hole at the same level at the pot.
Refill the hole with the earth removed (backfilling).
Firm in the spoil with your heel, avoiding the root ball.
Feed with a general-purpose fertiliser monthly from spring until flowering, then, from the end of September reduce watering and feeding to allow the foliage to harden.
In colder parts of the UK, cover the crown of the plant with a deep, dry mulch to protect the plants from hard frosts, or grow in a pot so they can be overwintered in an unheated greenhouse.

Delivery Information

Our experienced team at the nursery will always carefully package and send your plants nursery fresh in the perfect condition to thrive once you receive and plant them. Although most plants are extremely tough and will not be affected by all but the most extreme of weather conditions, we always avoid dispatching the most perishable plants if extreme frosts or heat is forecast. We also avoid dispatching orders over Bank Holiday weekends.

Please allow us 3-5 working days to dispatch your order. If you have ordered a 'pre-order' item, these will be sent out as soon as possible after the quoted dispatch date and we generally ship your entire order with any pre-ordered items. Once your order has been dispatched, we will send you an email with details on how you can track it.

We send most of our orders via a fully tracked courier service with Yodel. We will send you a tracking link as soon as your order has been dispatched. To avoid perishable items being stuck at depots and deteriorating, we will not require a signature on delivery, and we ask out couriers to leave your item in a safe place ad your delivery address.

If you have delivery instruction and require our courier to leave your item in a specific place, please let us know - there is an option to leave a message for the courier at the checkout.

For smaller and single-item orders, we may send these via the post with Royal Mail - Tracking will not be available for orders sent via this method.
