Keep your summer borders fresh with this latest Crocosmia Firestars Collection.

A trio of Montbretia bulbs with three specially bred bicolour Crocosmia varieties, each producing an astonishing display of arching, star-shaped flowers above bold, upright sword-like foliage from July right through to autumn.

'Hot Spot' opens sunshine yellow with a distinctive cherry red blotched ring at the centre. 'Firestarter' blazes golden yellow edged in vibrant orange with an orange-red central stripe. 'Scorchio' delivers large, fiery orange-yellow blooms with bold red stripes radiating from the centre.

All three are fully hardy, compact, and clump-forming, meaning they stay well-behaved in the border whilst building into more impressive, flower-packed clumps with every passing year. They resist common pests and diseases and require virtually no maintenance beyond an annual tidy in spring.

Excellent as cut flowers too - snip a few stems and bring that extraordinary fiery energy indoors.

Supplied as a set of 15 bulbs, including five of each variety named.

Top Tips

For maximum impact, plant Crocosmia in groups or drifts. Their sword-like foliage adds height and structure, while the fiery flowers glow brightest when planted in bold swathes.

Care Information

Planting Advice for your Crocosmia:

Corms should be planted like any other bulb and are easiest to plant if you just dig a hole about 10cm deep and space a handful about 2cm apart. This will give you a good-sized clump straight away and you can lift and divide clumps as they expand.
If you prefer a more spaced display, then plant them in clumps in groups of 5 about 10cm apart. If your soil is heavy, add some horticultural grit to the planting hole.

Aftercare Advice:

Water well and regularly.
Mulch corms in winter to preserve moisture.
Lift and divide clumps in spring if flowering diminishes.

Pruning Advice:

Cut back dead leaves in spring.

Delivery Information

Our experienced team at the nursery will always carefully package and send your plants nursery fresh in the perfect condition to thrive once you receive and plant them. Although most plants are extremely tough and will not be affected by all but the most extreme of weather conditions, we always avoid dispatching the most perishable plants if extreme frosts or heat is forecast. We also avoid dispatching orders over Bank Holiday weekends.

Please allow us 3-5 working days to dispatch your order. If you have ordered a 'pre-order' item, these will be sent out as soon as possible after the quoted dispatch date and we generally ship your entire order with any pre-ordered items. Once your order has been dispatched, we will send you an email with details on how you can track it.

We send most of our orders via a fully tracked courier service with Yodel. We will send you a tracking link as soon as your order has been dispatched. To avoid perishable items being stuck at depots and deteriorating, we will not require a signature on delivery, and we ask out couriers to leave your item in a safe place ad your delivery address.

If you have delivery instruction and require our courier to leave your item in a specific place, please let us know - there is an option to leave a message for the courier at the checkout.

For smaller and single-item orders, we may send these via the post with Royal Mail - Tracking will not be available for orders sent via this method.
