Give your summer garden the full rainbow treatment with five daylilies picked to deliver different, beautifully contrasting flower colours.

From the cheerful lemon blooms of 'Happy Returns' to the saturated ruby flowers of 'Booby Ruby', every variety earns its place. Warm peach and apricot tones are balanced by clean rose pink, while lavender flowers with a dramatic violet eye introduce a cooler shade rarely seen in ordinary daylily combinations.

Together, the five plants create a lively, coordinated display without looking repetitive. Group them through a sunny border for a sweep of changing colour, or divide them between beds and large containers to carry the same vibrancy around the garden.

Daylilies are hardy, reliable perennials that form attractive clumps of arching foliage and return each year. Plant the bare roots in fertile soil, water them well while they establish and remove spent flower stems to keep the display looking tidy.

Supplied as a set of five bare root plants, ready to plant, including one each of the following varieties:

Hemerocallis 'Happy Returns' - Bright lemon yellow. One of the clearest, happiest yellows and an excellent repeat bloomer.
Hemerocallis 'Booby� Ruby' - Deep ruby red. Rich, saturated colour that contrasts beautifully with the yellows and pinks.
Hemerocallis 'Fruity Kiss' - Peachy apricot with warm tones. Introduces orange/apricot shades that none of the others provide.
Hemerocallis 'Prairie Blue Eyes' - Lavender with a violet eye. Unusual cool-toned colouring that stands apart from the warmer varieties.
Hemerocallis 'Rosy Returns' - Rose pink. Adds a clean pink tone to complete the spectrum.

Top Tips

Planting Depth: Crown 3cm below soil level, Planting Spacing: 45-60cm apart.

Remove faded flowers to encourage more blooms.

Care Information

Daylilies thrive in most well-drained, fertile soils, as long as they're no in shade and borders that dry out in summer.
When planting container-grown daylilies, improve the soil by digging in well-rotted organic matter, such as garden compost or manure.
As general maintenance, just apply a spring mulch around existing plants to help conserve moisture, and water during prolonged dry spells.
To get the best from your bare root plants, pot them up, rather than planting directly in the ground, using a peat-free multi-purpose compost and water in well. Once they are growing strongly you can plant them out.
However, if time and space are against you, then they can be planted directly where they are to flower, making sure that the roots are well spread and the crown is not buried. Water in well.

Delivery Information

Our experienced team at the nursery will always carefully package and send your plants nursery fresh in the perfect condition to thrive once you receive and plant them. Although most plants are extremely tough and will not be affected by all but the most extreme of weather conditions, we always avoid dispatching the most perishable plants if extreme frosts or heat is forecast. We also avoid dispatching orders over Bank Holiday weekends.

Please allow us 3-5 working days to dispatch your order. If you have ordered a 'pre-order' item, these will be sent out as soon as possible after the quoted dispatch date and we generally ship your entire order with any pre-ordered items. Once your order has been dispatched, we will send you an email with details on how you can track it.

We send most of our orders via a fully tracked courier service with Yodel. We will send you a tracking link as soon as your order has been dispatched. To avoid perishable items being stuck at depots and deteriorating, we will not require a signature on delivery, and we ask out couriers to leave your item in a safe place ad your delivery address.

If you have delivery instruction and require our courier to leave your item in a specific place, please let us know - there is an option to leave a message for the courier at the checkout.

For smaller and single-item orders, we may send these via the post with Royal Mail - Tracking will not be available for orders sent via this method.
