Longiflorum Lily 'White Heaven'

We all know and love the pure white and fragrance of Longiflorum Lilies (Trumpet Lilies), indeed it's almost a staple wedding flower. Now we can offer you the same breath-taking look and scent for your garden with incredible ease and reliability.

Each bulb will produce stems to 1 meter tall in the first year, reaching 1.5 meter over 3 or so years, with more and more of those iconic flowers per stem. It is totally hardy and very easy to look after.

Best planted where you can enjoy the fragrance in pots or borders. For pots, plant several in one big (30-40cm diameter) pot for knockout looks and fragrance, and space equally in the pot, planting with the top of the bulb about 15cm below the surface.

Very easy to grow indeed, requiring no maintenance other than watering and feeding when in growth, why not bring some scent to your garden with the Longiflorum Lilies.

Top Tips

Care Guide

• Lily bulbs can be planted from autumn right through to the summer and are happy planted both straight into the ground or into containers.
• We supply lots of different varieties so be sure to check the bag they come in for any specific planting instructions.
• In general lilies are ever so easy to grow and with a sunny spot, frequent watering keeping soil moist (not wet) and a little high potassium fertilizer, you’ll get some fantastic displays.
• Plant in sun or light shade, where they won’t be disturbed.
• Dig a hole for each group at least 8in/20cm deep or 3 x the size of the bulb. Spread a 2in/5cm layer of grit all over the bottom to help drainage. Place your bulb onto the gravel and back-fill with soil.
• Lilies prefer well-drained soil, so on heavy, clay soils which can be too wet, you can grow your lilies in pots, which can then be dropped into borders where you want flowers.
• After the lily blooms, you can also remove just the flower. Do NOT remove leaves until they have died down and turned brown.

Although most plants are extremely tough and will not be affected by all but the most extreme of weather conditions, we always avoid dispatching the most perishable plants if extreme frosts or heat is forecast. We also avoid dispatching orders over Bank Holiday weekends.

We send most of our orders via a fully tracked courier service with Yodel. We will send you a tracking link as soon as your order has been dispatched. To avoid perishable items being stuck at depots and deteriorating, we will not require a signature on delivery, and we ask out couriers to leave your item in a safe place ad your delivery address.
