Description

Lily 'Amber Waves' is a new LA Hybrid introduction that delivers rich summer colour and exceptional cut flower performance. Fluorescent marmalade-orange blooms are unlike anything else, with rich glowing buds that standout in borders or containers.

Each tall, sturdy stem supports multiple large, star-shaped flowers with a bright, tropical glow. The sheer flower count is remarkable, creating a long-lasting display from midsummer onwards. The blooms also make outstanding cut flowers, with strong stems and a long vase life.

This hybrid variety combines the hardiness and reliability of Asiatic lilies with the strength and refined form of Longiflorum types, resulting in vigorous, easy to care for plants.

They're equally happy in borders or pots, making them a great choice for patios and terraces where their vivid colour and glowing buds can be appreciated up close.

Supplied as a set of 10 bulbs, size 14/16, ready to plant.

Top Tips

Give lilies a good mulch to keep the roots cool and keep well-watered when in full growth.

Care Information

Lily bulbs can be planted from autumn right through to the summer and are happy planted both straight into the ground or into containers.
In general, lilies are ever so easy to grow and with a sunny spot, frequent watering keeping soil moist (not wet) and a little high potassium fertilizer, you�ll get some fantastic displays.
Plant in sun or light shade, where they won�t be disturbed.
Dig a hole for each group at least 20cm deep or 3 x the size of the bulb. Spread a 5cm layer of grit all over the bottom to help drainage. Place your bulb onto the gravel and back-fill with soil.
Lilies prefer well-drained soil, so on heavy, clay soils which can be too wet, you can grow your lilies in pots, which can then be dropped into borders where you want flowers.
After the lily blooms, you can also remove just the flower. Do NOT remove leaves until they have died down and turned brown.

Delivery Information

Our experienced team at the nursery will always carefully package and send your plants nursery fresh in the perfect condition to thrive once you receive and plant them. Although most plants are extremely tough and will not be affected by all but the most extreme of weather conditions, we always avoid dispatching the most perishable plants if extreme frosts or heat is forecast. We also avoid dispatching orders over Bank Holiday weekends.

Please allow us 3-5 working days to dispatch your order. If you have ordered a 'pre-order' item, these will be sent out as soon as possible after the quoted dispatch date and we generally ship your entire order with any pre-ordered items. Once your order has been dispatched, we will send you an email with details on how you can track it.

We send most of our orders via a fully tracked courier service with Yodel. We will send you a tracking link as soon as your order has been dispatched. To avoid perishable items being stuck at depots and deteriorating, we will not require a signature on delivery, and we ask out couriers to leave your item in a safe place ad your delivery address.

If you have delivery instruction and require our courier to leave your item in a specific place, please let us know - there is an option to leave a message for the courier at the checkout.

For smaller and single-item orders, we may send these via the post with Royal Mail - Tracking will not be available for orders sent via this method.
