Description

This remarkable Sicilian orange has been specially bred to thrive in UK gardens. Enjoy fragrant flowers from late summer, followed by fresh oranges through autumn and winter!

Fresh orange juice at breakfast, squeezed from fruit picked from your own tree only moments before. It may sound wonderfully Mediterranean, but the Sicilian Orange tree makes that experience possible in a UK garden.

Bred especially for our conditions, it produces beautifully fragrant white blossoms in summer, followed by sweet, virtually seedless oranges ready to harvest from November onwards. Ideal for juicing, cooking, baking, or simply enjoying fresh.

While many citrus plants can struggle in our climate, this Sicilian orange has been selected to perform well in UK conditions. It can produce generous crops of vitamin C-rich fruit, perfect for fresh juice, adding zest to recipes or brightening up winter salads.

Your 4-year-old tree arrives nursery-fresh and mature enough to fruit THIS YEAR, so you could be enjoying your first home-grown Sicilian oranges within months!

Growing it in a pot also makes winter care simple. Move it into a bright conservatory or indoors from October to May, then place it outside in a warm, sunny position through summer, where it will bring Mediterranean fragrance and character to your patio.

Supplied as an established plant in a 4 litre pot, approximately 60-90cm tall.

Top Tips
  • For best results, bring indoors to a cool area for winter.
  • Feed with specialist feed every month in spring and summer growth - they are hungry fellows.
Care Information
  • Sweetly-fragranced flowers appear all year round, especially in late winter, and fruit ripens up to 12 months later - so plants are often in flower and fruiting at the same time.
  • Citrus tend not to thrive in centrally heated homes, so from mid-June to late September, give plants a treat and transfer them outside to make the most of the available sunshine - but remember they are not frost tolerant so will need bringing under cover if cold nights threaten.
  • Only minimal pruning is required to reshape or remove dead or damaged shoots.

Watering:

  • In summer, water freely - ideally using rainwater, while in winter you can reduce the amount - allowing the surface to partially dry out before watering again. Always allow excess water to drain away.
  • Our beautiful Mediterranean citrus trees are grown in a slightly heavier growing medium, so be sure to take care when watering. Be sure not to overwater, as with all your plants, but also make sure not to allow the soil to dry out.
Delivery Information

Our experienced team at the nursery will always carefully package and send your plants nursery fresh in the perfect condition to thrive once you receive and plant them. Although most plants are extremely tough and will not be affected by all but the most extreme of weather conditions, we always avoid dispatching the most perishable plants if extreme frosts or heat is forecast. We also avoid dispatching orders over Bank Holiday weekends.

Please allow us 3-5 working days to dispatch your order. If you have ordered a 'pre-order' item, these will be sent out as soon as possible after the quoted dispatch date and we generally ship your entire order with any pre-ordered items. Once your order has been dispatched, we will send you an email with details on how you can track it.

We send most of our orders via a fully tracked courier service with Yodel. We will send you a tracking link as soon as your order has been dispatched. To avoid perishable items being stuck at depots and deteriorating, we will not require a signature on delivery, and we ask out couriers to leave your item in a safe place ad your delivery address.

*Please note, once your item has been delivered, we cannot be held responsible for loss or theft from your delivery address. If you have delivery instruction and require our courier to leave your item in a specific place, please let us know - there is an option to leave a message for the courier at the checkout.

For smaller and single-item orders, we may send these via the post with Royal Mail - Tracking will not be available for orders sent via this method.

**Please note, we cannot guarantee delivery on a certain day or time. Delivery to outlying postcode areas may take 1-2 days longer, dependent on your location.

For all orders, a small delivery fee of £4.99 will be charged or spend over £49.99 for FREE Delivery!
