Description

With glossy, rich green leaves laves with irregular holes, plants will trail gently over their pot if left untrained or can be treated as a climber and tied to a support.

Like its bigger cousin, it's easy to grow, and gives instant impact wherever it's placed, and everyone can benefit from the improvement to health and wellbeing that plants and gardening can bring.

The glossy, tropical leaves of the Monkey Leaf are what makes this plant a star, easily adding a lush, exotic feel to any room.

Young leaves are solid, and as the plant matures, they begin to show the characteristic holes which make the leaf resemble a mask. Naturally a lazy climber, your plant will enjoy the support of a moss pole (not supplied) where you can push its aerial roots into the moss as they develop, helping to support it as it grows.

A native of tropical rainforests, Monstera is a houseplant that's easy to keep happy - we recommend that you place it in bright but not direct sunlight indoors and mist the leaves regularly to provide humidity - plus they love a bit of a leaf-wipe now and again to remove dust and restore that glossy sheen.

Supplied as an established plant in a 12cm pot, eventually reaching just H1m x W0.4m

As with all houseplants, keep away from children and pets and take care when handling.

Top Tips

Best grown in bright light otherwise growth will be spindly and new leaves will lose their holes.

Care Information

Best grown in indirect sunlight in an average room temperature - avoid large temperature fluctuations.
Water regularly and allow the soil to dry a bit between watering.
Feed once a month with a general-purpose liquid houseplant feed.
Mist leaves to maintain humidity.
Clean leaves regularly with a damp cloth.
Do not place in direct sunlight, as this will scorch and yellow the leaves.
As with all houseplants, keep away from children and pets and take care when handling.

Our experienced team at the nursery will always carefully package and send your plants nursery fresh in the perfect condition to thrive once you receive and plant them. Although most plants are extremely tough and will not be affected by all but the most extreme of weather conditions, we always avoid dispatching the most perishable plants if extreme frosts or heat is forecast. We also avoid dispatching orders over Bank Holiday weekends.

Please allow us 3-5 working days to dispatch your order. If you have ordered a 'pre-order' item, these will be sent out as soon as possible after the quoted dispatch date and we generally ship your entire order with any pre-ordered items. Once your order has been dispatched, we will send you an email with details on how you can track it.

We send most of our orders via a fully tracked courier service with Yodel. We will send you a tracking link as soon as your order has been dispatched. To avoid perishable items being stuck at depots and deteriorating, we will not require a signature on delivery, and we ask out couriers to leave your item in a safe place ad your delivery address.

If you have delivery instruction and require our courier to leave your item in a specific place, please let us know - there is an option to leave a message for the courier at the checkout.

For smaller and single-item orders, we may send these via the post with Royal Mail - Tracking will not be available for orders sent via this method.
