Description

A stylish garden showstopper that's low on maintenance, but high on impact. This Pink Pampas Grass is a striking ornamental variety that earns its title as the 'Queen' of grasses for good reason. It's bold, architectural, and sends up big rosy plumes from late summer through autumn.

The soft pink plumes look sensational in the garden, especially backlit by the evening sun. And the foliage? It's got that elegant, fountain-like shape that brings form and structure all year.

It's also incredibly versatile. You can use it as a specimen plant in the centre of a lawn, drop it into gravel planting for a natural look, or even create an informal hedge with a few planted in a row. Once established, it tolerates drought with ease, and it can thrive in poor soils and exposed spots alike.

Plus, it's a real winner inside the home too. The flower heads make brilliant dried decorations, so you can enjoy its beauty long after summer has faded.

Top Tips
All varieties of Pampas Grass work particularly well in salty winds and coastal conditions, so these are a great option for those lucky enough to live by the sea but will still look impactful anywhere – even in landlocked gardens.
Care Information
  • For best health, grow in fertile, deep, well-drained soil in full sun if possible
  • Cover with a deep dry mulch to protect plants from frost in their first winter
  • Choose your planting position carefully - they require plenty of space due to their size and because of the sharp leaf edges
  • Cut and comb out the last year's flower stems and dead leaves in late winter or early spring; wear gloves as protection from the sharp leaf edges
  • This will tolerate almost drought conditions and will keep looking fabulous even into autumn and winter
