Raspberry 'Lowberry Little Sweet Sister' is a dwarf raspberry bush. Incredibly compact, growing to under 1 metre tall, and is specially bred for container growing. It's ideal for patios, balconies or even a sunny doorstep.

What really sets it apart, though, is just how early it starts fruiting. From mid-July, it begins producing its first harvest of sweet, dark red raspberries. That means you'll enjoy a long picking season while other varieties are still catching up.

Each berry has a full, rich flavour, sweet and fruity with just the right touch of tang. The fruit is conical in shape, well-sized for the plant, and holds its structure well when picked. You'll find it's a joy to grow, especially if you're new to soft fruit or want to introduce children to the magic of homegrown crops.

It doesn't need wires, supports or a complicated pruning schedule. Simply cut down the fruited stems in winter and allow new ones to take over. With a little water and sunshine, this raspberry delivers big results with very little effort.

Aside from its fruiting performance, 'Little Sweet Sister' is also a handsome plant. Its tidy growth and green summer foliage make it a lovely addition to container displays, and its white flowers in summer attract pollinators too.

A great performer in pots, but this variety can also be planted directly into a garden bed, but make sure the soil is free-draining and not prone to waterlogging.

Care Information

When Your Plant Arrives

Your raspberry will arrive as an established plant in a 1 litre pot, ready to plant.
Unpack it straight away and give it a drink of water if the compost feels dry.
Stand it outside in a sheltered, sunny spot for a couple of days to let it acclimatise.
Choose a sunny, sheltered position for the best results. This variety is ideal for pots, so use a container that's at least 25-30cm in diameter with good drainage holes.
Fill it with quality multi-purpose compost, preferably mixed with some well-rotted organic matter if you have it.
Remove the plant from its pot and gently tease out any matted roots.
Plant it so the top of the rootball is level with the surface of the compost. Firm in and water thoroughly.

Ongoing Care

Keep the compost moist, especially during dry spells and while the plant is getting established.
In summer, pots may need watering daily, particularly when the fruit is developing.
Avoid letting the compost dry out completely.
'Lowberry Little Sweet Sister' is hardy. In colder regions or if grown in a pot, protect roots in winter by moving the container to a sheltered spot or wrapping it in fleece or bubble wrap.

Once your order has been dispatched, we will send you an email with details on how you can track it.

We send most of our orders via a fully tracked courier service with Yodel. We will send you a tracking link as soon as your order has been dispatched. To avoid perishable items being stuck at depots and deteriorating, we will not require a signature on delivery, and we ask out couriers to leave your item in a safe place ad your delivery address.
