Description

Most outdoor gerberas are florist varieties attempting to make the leap into the garden. They may look spectacular in the shop, but can struggle when faced with poor weather, pests or an unpredictable British summer.

The Sunshapers Collection is different!

This exciting new series has been bred specifically for stronger garden performance, with improved resistance to pests, disease and challenging weather conditions. Give the plants a sunny position and they will reward you with a bold, dependable display.

Large, dramatic flowers appear in vivid shades of orange, pink and purple, each finished with a sharply contrasting centre. The result is up to seven months of colour, beginning in late spring and continuing until the first frosts.

Equally suited to patio pots and mixed borders, the three varieties can be planted together for a striking container display or repeated through beds to spread colour around the garden.

Plant now and look forward to a spectacular summer show.

Supplied as a set of three established plants in 9cm pots, including one pink, one orange and one purple plant, ready to plant.

Please Note: The exact varieties you will receive are not guaranteed and are dependent on availability.

Top Tips
Remove faded flowers to ensure a continuous supply of coloured flowers.
Care Information
  • Plant in full sun and protected from cold winds.
  • Gerberas prefer fertile, well-drained, moist soil that has been dug deeply.
  • Individually knock out each plant from its container. Look at the roots – if they are circling around the compost, it is best to tease them out. To do this, push your fingers into the rootball along the bottom edge and pull. Do this in a couple of places. This should encourage the roots to spread into the surrounding soil.
  • Next use a trowel or spade to create a hole just deep and wide enough to set in the rootball.
  • When planting set the crowns slightly above the soil level then firm back around the soil, using your hand for small clumps and your heel on larger areas.
  • Water in well to settle the soil and prevent drying out.
