An early flowering shrub that really earns its place in the garden... Olearia 'Spring Bling' is a remarkable little shrub that bursts into flower and puts on an extraordinary show to wake the garden after winter. It's like flipping a switch from dull to dazzling.

This is an early spring evergreen shrub, erupting into a mass of bright white daisy-like blooms, each with a soft yellow centre. Plus, the flowers are absolutely covered in bees and early pollinators. And the scent? Sweet and clean, the sort of fragrance that makes you stop and breathe it in.

'Spring Bling' forms a neat, compact mound of silvery green foliage that looks great all year round. After the flowers fade, the evergreen leaves keep everything looking fresh and tidy, so no bare patches, no need to cut back or fuss. Just low-maintenance, year-round structure.

A proven success in smaller gardens, patios, and coastal areas too. Fully hardy, drought tolerant once settled in, and genuinely easy to grow. Whether in the ground or in a pot, it copes well with sun, wind and poorer soils, and asks for very little in return.

Supplied as an established plant in a 9cm pot, ready to plant.

Top Tips

After flowering, lightly trim back the faded flower stems to keep the shrub neat and encourage a tidy, bushy habit.

Care Information

On Arrival:

Unpack your plant carefully, straight away.
If the compost feels dry, give it a light watering.
Place the plant in a sheltered, bright spot outdoors or in a cool, light place if planting conditions aren�t immediately suitable.
Try to plant it within a few days of arrival.

Planting Olearia 'Spring Bling':

Choose a sunny, sheltered spot with well-drained soil.
Dig a planting hole twice as wide as the pot and about the same depth.
Gently remove the plant from its pot and lightly tease out any roots that look tightly packed.
Place the plant in the hole so the top of the rootball is level with the soil surface.
Backfill with a mix of garden soil and some multi-purpose compost to help it settle.
Firm the soil gently around the plant and water in thoroughly.

Planting In Pots:

Choose a container at least 25�30cm wide with good drainage holes.
Use a free-draining compost mix, such as a multi-purpose compost blended with about 20-30% horticultural grit or perlite.
Pot the plant at the same depth it was growing in its original pot.
Water well after planting and place your pot in a sunny, sheltered position.

Aftercare Advice:

Keep the soil moist while your plant is establishing. Once settled, Olearia 'Spring Bling' is drought tolerant, but water occasionally during very dry spells.
Feed once in early spring with a balanced slow-release fertiliser or a general-purpose liquid feed to encourage healthy new growth and plenty of flowers.
Caring in winter - in colder areas or very exposed gardens, protect young plants over their first winter by covering with horticultural fleece during severe frosts, or move potted plants to a sheltered spot if possible.

Our experienced team at the nursery will always carefully package and send your plants nursery fresh in the perfect condition to thrive once you receive and plant them. Although most plants are extremely tough and will not be affected by all but the most extreme of weather conditions, we always avoid dispatching the most perishable plants if extreme frosts or heat is forecast. We also avoid dispatching orders over Bank Holiday weekends.

Please allow us 3-5 working days to dispatch your order. If you have ordered a 'pre-order' item, these will be sent out as soon as possible after the quoted dispatch date and we generally ship your entire order with any pre-ordered items. Once your order has been dispatched, we will send you an email with details on how you can track it.

We send most of our orders via a fully tracked courier service with Yodel. We will send you a tracking link as soon as your order has been dispatched. To avoid perishable items being stuck at depots and deteriorating, we will not require a signature on delivery, and we ask out couriers to leave your item in a safe place ad your delivery address.

If you have delivery instruction and require our courier to leave your item in a specific place, please let us know - there is an option to leave a message for the courier at the checkout.

For smaller and single-item orders, we may send these via the post with Royal Mail - Tracking will not be available for orders sent via this method.
