An old-fashioned climbing rose. 'Madame Alfred Carrière' was first introduced in Victorian times, it's still a firm favourite with gardeners who love fragrance, beauty and dependability.
This elegant climber produces generous clusters of creamy white blooms, each brushed softly with pink and packed with layers of petals. The flowers are large, up to 10cm across, and release a beautifully sweet, fruity scent that carries on the breeze.
The stems are long and practically thornless, so are perfect for training along a trellis, pergola, or wall. Its light green foliage creates a delicate background that enhances every bloom, while its repeat-flowering habit ensures continuous colour from early summer until the first frosts.
An RHS Award of Garden Merit winner, 'Madame Alfred Carrière' is a proven performer in British gardens. It's robust, hardy, and easy to grow, showing excellent resistance to disease. Once planted, it quickly establishes itself and rewards you year after year with an abundance of flowers and fragrance.
Supplied as a bare root climbing rose, ready to plant.
