Description

Lily 'Zeba' brings exhibition-level beauty to your garden, with massive oversized flowers and bicolour style.

Flowering from mid to late summer, tall stems rise to around one metre, topped with huge, scented flowers in crisp white, each finished with a striking dark red centre. The colour contrast is bold and eye-catching, while the fragrance adds another layer of appeal on warm days and evenings. Dark green, lance-shaped foliage provides a strong backdrop, keeping the plant attractive even before flowers appear.

This variety is the result of careful hybridisation between Nepalese and Oriental lilies, marrying together toughness, reliability and impressive flower quality. It is fully hardy and grows well in a wide range of soil types, making it suitable for most UK gardens.

As a bulbous perennial, Lily 'Zeba' returns year after year, building into a reliable feature plant that adds height, colour and scent to borders. It works particularly well in the middle or back of planting schemes, where its scale and presence can be fully appreciated.

Top Tips

Remove the faded flowers so that the plants don�t waste energy making seeds.

Care Information

Keep an eye out for lily beetles which can quickly defoliate your plants.
Plant in fertile, moist and well-drained soil - a layer of horticultural grit in the planting hole will help drainage.
Plant bulbs where the plants will benefit from light afternoon shade.
Mulch over winter to protect the bulbs from extreme cold , or if your ground lays wet, you may want to consider lifting and storing the bulbs.
Keep well-watered when in growth and give a high-potassium liquid fertiliser every 2 weeks from early spring until 6 weeks after flowering.
Leave the foliage until it turns brown in autumn.
Divide plants every 3 to 4 years as new growth begins in the spring.

Delivery Information

Our experienced team at the nursery will always carefully package and send your plants nursery fresh in the perfect condition to thrive once you receive and plant them. Although most plants are extremely tough and will not be affected by all but the most extreme of weather conditions, we always avoid dispatching the most perishable plants if extreme frosts or heat is forecast. We also avoid dispatching orders over Bank Holiday weekends.

Please allow us 3-5 working days to dispatch your order. If you have ordered a 'pre-order' item, these will be sent out as soon as possible after the quoted dispatch date and we generally ship your entire order with any pre-ordered items. Once your order has been dispatched, we will send you an email with details on how you can track it.

We send most of our orders via a fully tracked courier service with Yodel. We will send you a tracking link as soon as your order has been dispatched. To avoid perishable items being stuck at depots and deteriorating, we will not require a signature on delivery, and we ask out couriers to leave your item in a safe place ad your delivery address.

If you have delivery instruction and require our courier to leave your item in a specific place, please let us know - there is an option to leave a message for the courier at the checkout.

For smaller and single-item orders, we may send these via the post with Royal Mail - Tracking will not be available for orders sent via this method.
