Description

Enjoy the fresh taste of homegrown lemons with this compact citrus tree. Supplied as a strong plant in a 4L pot and already 70-90cm tall, it's ready to start producing juicy fruit and fragrant flowers once settled.

This is the 'Lunario' variety, a prolific bloomer with white, citrus-scented flowers that appear from late spring through to winter. The fruit that follows is full-sized, seedless, and packed with vitamin C. Use it in baking, drinks, or as a zesty addition to savoury dishes.

One of the joys of this tree is how well it grows in containers. That makes it ideal for patios, balconies, conservatories or even bright indoor spaces. The glossy green foliage stays evergreen year-round, so it looks good even when not in fruit.

In summer, place the tree in a warm, sheltered position outdoors. Come winter, move it into a frost-free space like a porch or conservatory, and it'll continue to thrive. With minimal care and regular watering, it will reward you with delicious fruit within a year of planting.

Care Information

The sweetly fragrant blossom appears in the late spring and can sometimes continue to flower sporadically over the rest of the year. Especially in late winter, and fruit ripens up to 12 months later - so plants are often in flower and fruiting at the same time.
Citrus tend not to thrive in centrally heated homes, so from mid-Jun to late September, give plants a treat and transfer them outside to make the most of the available sunshine - but remember they are not frost tolerant so will need bringing under cover if cold nights threaten.
In summer, water freely - ideally with rainwater, while in winter you can reduce the amount - allowing the surface to partially dry out before watering again. Always allow excess water to drain away.
Overwatering in winter is a common problem with citrus trees, so try to keep them on the dry side.
Only minimal pruning is required to reshape or remove dead or damaged shoots.

Delivery Information

Our experienced team at the nursery will always carefully package and send your plants nursery fresh in the perfect condition to thrive once you receive and plant them. Although most plants are extremely tough and will not be affected by all but the most extreme of weather conditions, we always avoid dispatching the most perishable plants if extreme frosts or heat is forecast. We also avoid dispatching orders over Bank Holiday weekends.

Please allow us 3-5 working days to dispatch your order. If you have ordered a 'pre-order' item, these will be sent out as soon as possible after the quoted dispatch date and we generally ship your entire order with any pre-ordered items. Once your order has been dispatched, we will send you an email with details on how you can track it.

We send most of our orders via a fully tracked courier service with Yodel. We will send you a tracking link as soon as your order has been dispatched. To avoid perishable items being stuck at depots and deteriorating, we will not require a signature on delivery, and we ask out couriers to leave your item in a safe place ad your delivery address.

For smaller and single-item orders, we may send these via the post with Royal Mail - Tracking will not be available for orders sent via this method.
