Description

‘Bridge of Sighs’ boasts delicate bright peach petals when in bloom, which are semi-double, and open in good-sized clusters. The blooms standout as they contrast against glossy, dark green foliage.

Treat your garden to a display that maximises the time it has, thanks to a long flowering nature, stretching from early summer to autumn.

This rose produces hips during autumn, containing the seeds of the plant. The bright colour will attract plenty of birds, which will eat the hips and distribute the seeds. The trusses of flowers seen on this climbing rose turn into hundreds of handy hips.

Supplied as an established plant in a 4 litre pot, ready for planting.

Top Tips
Soak root balls overnight before planting and do not allow to dry out once planted, especially March - May. Feed well in first year to get established, and dead-head as needed to prolong flowering. Mulch with well-rotted manure or composted bark in first autumn.
Care Information
  • Roses can be planted at any time of the year, as long as the soil is not frozen, waterlogged or drought-dry.
  • Plant your rose where it can get plenty of sun for at least half of the day, and where it will be sheltered from the wind.
  • Add plenty of well-rotted manure into the hole and plant so that the graft union (the swollen area when the stems meet the roots) is just below soil level.
  • Water well every other day - daily if the weather is hot and dry.
  • Established roses can be watered around once a week through spring and summer - more if the weather is hot.
  • For best results, feed roses in late-March/April and again in late July.
  • To prune, just remove any dead, dying, damaged and diseased stems.
  • Traditionally, you would cut just above a leaf joint with a sloping cut away from the bud, however, this isn't necessary, and don’t worry about pruning too much - roses are very resilient and will grow back.
