Sempervivum 'Chick Charms' Giants Collection

Ever-reliable succulent plants that are easy to grow, this ‘Giants’ collection of houseleeks features remarkable colour combinations.

Neat rosettes of fleshy leaves are low-growing and drought-tolerant, are perfect for introducing youngsters to the wonderful world of gardening.

Sempervivums should be planted in well-drained soil in full sun, tolerating drought once established. The leaf colour is dependent on temperature and light, so may vary in intensity throughout the year.

Supplied as three established plants in 12cm pots, including one each of:

• ‘Giants Copper Canyon’ – A beautiful colour combination forms as copper-red edges glow around a bright jade centre from spring. The copper shade moves into the centre as the year progresses and the edges fall to ruby.
• ‘Giants Emerald Explosion’ – Few plants boast this colour combination – emerald green edges add shimmering interest to burgundy leaves. This colour even stays strong throughout the year.
• ‘Giants Gold Mine’ – The outstanding shiny gold and dark maroon-red colouring of the ‘Gold Mine’ remains consistent, regardless of the season.

Top Tips

Care Guide

• Plant in full sun and in well-drained soil.
• Sempervivum plants prefer well-drained soil with sand or grit added.
• Grow them in trays or pots, in the ground, or on wood or in rock piles. Once established, the plants need no further care.
• Once a rosette flowers, it dies back so simply pull out the dead rosette and fill the hole with gritty soil. The plant will quickly fill in any empty spots with offsets.

Our experienced team at the nursery will always carefully package and send your plants nursery fresh in the perfect condition to thrive once you receive and plant them. Although most plants are extremely tough and will not be affected by all but the most extreme of weather conditions, we always avoid dispatching the most perishable plants if extreme frosts or heat is forecast. We also avoid dispatching orders over Bank Holiday weekends.

Please allow us 5 - 7 working days to dispatch your order. If you have ordered a 'pre-order' item, these will be sent out as soon as possible after the quoted dispatch date and we generally ship your entire order with any pre-ordered items. Once your order has been dispatched, we will send you an email with details on how you can track it.

We send most of our orders via a fully tracked courier service with Yodel. We will send you a tracking link as soon as your order has been dispatched. To avoid perishable items being stuck at depots and deteriorating, we will not require a signature on delivery, and we ask out couriers to leave your item in a safe place ad your delivery address.

If you have delivery instruction and require our courier to leave your item in a specific place, please let us know - there is an option to leave a message for the courier at the checkout.

For smaller and single-item orders, we may send these via the post with Royal Mail - Tracking will not be available for orders sent via this method.
